Info on Ben's Scooby Doo episode

A friend of mine sent an email to the Cartoon Network and asked about Ben's Scooby Doo episode. She got this response today:

Thank you so much for your interest in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Mr. McKenzie will be in an episode entitled “The Wild Brood,” playing a character named Odnarb. This episode is later in the season and an airdate has yet to be determined, but please keep checking your listings!

I have the cosmo, however my printer is not working,so I cannot scan. However I am more than happy to type the interview out.

Its a really good interview, and his "comments" that were in the article Jassylou (thanks honey!!)posted were rather misleading.

That would be great if you can type it up for me (and the other fans here).

Is there a new picture of him there?

If you can type it up, that would be awesome. I was hoping to get out and buy a copy today but I haven't had time.

I decided to type it out anyway!!

Article headed up
"Do you know a nice girl you can set me up with?
After playing tearaway Ryan in The OC and a rookie cop in Southland, Ben McKenzie knows a thing of two about bad boys. But, he assures Cosmo, he's all good..

THE WORST THING HE'S DONE ISNT THAT BAD
"I'm a good guy.Like most men I've had moments in my life where I haven't behaved brilliantly, but overall I'm decent. I'm lucky in that I haven't been caught doing anything too bad - just a couple of speeding tickets here and there. I'm not a bad guy and I won't pretend for sex appeal's sake that I am.I'm more like Ben, my character in Southland, than I am Ryan in The OC."

HE'S WELL-EDUCATED
"Ben (in Southland)isn't exactly an angel, but he's well educated and intelligent, and from a well-off background. His dad's a lawyer and so is mine, so I can relate to that. I'm from a relatively well-off family. I mean, I didn't grow up in Beverly Hills or anything, but I was pretty sheltered. I'm not the kid from the wrong side of the tracks in a wifebeater and hoodie."

HE'S A KEEPER
"Women always seem to go for bad guys because it's fun and different. Maybe we're all a little self-destructive on a certain level...But just take my advice and don't marry the bad guy. I can tell you, it won't work out for you. The bad-boy thing is fun if you're in high school and you want to have some good times, but as a lifestyle, you should stick to the good guys."

HE KNOWS HOW TO TREAT A WOMAN
"What makes a man a keeper? Well, let me talk about myself here: I'm so amazing on so many levels. Honestly! I'm romantic, sexy, smart and sensitive - but not too sensitive. I'll listen, but I'm still tough. Although I'm clearly not doing it completely right- I'm sure if I were, I'd be married already. But what makes me a good guy is that I read all of your magazines and so I know exactly what I'm supposed to do. I know exactly how I'm supposed to behave".

Sorry - have to send another message - too many words!!

continuation..

HE'LL ALWAYS CALL
"If I say I'm going to call, I'll call. Not immediately though-you have to wait a bit. Hang on, are you saying there are guys who never call? No, no. I'm from the South (Texas):there is a certain sense of decorum there. My rule is that after the first time(you meet) you have to call. You can't text initially. Once you're dating, you can settle into texting, but you definitely have to call the first couple of times."

HE'S SINGLE- AND LOOKING ....
"Confidence and intelligence are the two most attractive things in a woman. Followed by a nice, genuine smile-and a good pair of legs doesn't hurt. Those are my four things. If you have those you're in! I'm happily single at the moment, but if you know a nice lady you could set me up with, I do have handcuffs.I'm just saying."

HE WON'T BLAME YOU FOR NAGGING
"I'll never understand why women put up with us men. Why would you put up with a guy who doesn't smell good or isn't that clean?Don't get me wrong,I'm thankful that you do, but I don't understand it. Lesbianism makes so much sense to me. It's like, 'Of course women go for women. Why would they go for men?'"

There is also what is meant to be a hand writeen note - its in capitals and says
TO COSMO
THE ONE THING I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND ABOUT WOMEN IS... WHY THEY PUT UP WITH US
BEN

There is a cute photo (I am so sorry my printer is not working girls - really I am). He is not smiling, but looks VERY cute. Blue jeans, black (I think) top under a light coloured jacket. With very short hair, so I think recent. He has that rather "earnest" look he gets - hope you all know the one I mean!! Over the photo the words"Ok, Ben, we agree:you're not bad" ar typed.

Then there is a litle orange box with
Ben's STAR BIO
AGE: 31
ROMANTIC HISTORY: Previous girlfriends? Pah! All you need to know it that Ben's single. And looking... see you in the queue.
WHAT YOU WON'T FIND ON HIS CV:
He's a bit of a loner. "I've always kind of hung by myself," he has said
WHY WE LOVE HIM ANYWAY:
Er, hello? Sensitive+ot+reads Cosmo= pretty much the perfect man.
CATCH HIM NEXT IN:
Southland-series one is currently being shown on More4.

Thats it ladies - I do think the article that was on an earlier posting was misleading in that, Ben has a really dry sense of humour, and I dont think the article relayed that. Which is pretty much in line with most of the comments after Jassylou's posting. I know from previous articles and interviews, that he does not understand the attention he receives, so I think his comments were meant tongue in cheek.

Hope you all liked the interview - I loved it!!!
Im off to rest my wrists (Jassylou - control the laughter - I just know you will be laughing at that!!!!).

I think it was entitled STUNNED AT THE SINGLE LIFE!

Ohh!! Thank you so, so much for typing all of this! You have to take enough time to rest your wrists. If it is difficult to do so, how about having Ben handcuff you?

Thanks, indeed! His humor comes through much better in the complete version. I just love, "I do have handcuffs. I'm just saying."

Thank you, that's very much appreciated.

LOL at that:

Thanks for the Scooby Doo info. I wondered when it was going to air. Voicing cartoon characters and acting in the theatre - Ben is wisely being versatile and I love him for it!.
